And becoming a PCA member wasn’t simply a matter of filling out a form or  sending a subscription payment.  The PCA rightfully consider all applications very seriously – with our criteria for membership including:

  • Being trading for at least 2 years, with approved company accounts
  • Holding a comprehensive industry recognised qualification
  • A comprehensive and thorough auditing of all our processes, procedures and reporting to ensure they adhere to the PCA’s Management of Japanese Knotweed  Code of Practice.
  • Adhering to a formal Code of Conduct, abiding by a strict Code of Ethics, and required for work to minimum Performance Standards

Insurance Backed Guarantees from us, that mean peace of mind for you

As PCA members we can offer Insurance-Backed Guarantees (IBGs) for up to 10 years from the completion of the Japanese Knotweed works.

IBGs serve to safeguard the regular long term guarantee that we provide to our clients, which means you are fully protected if any Japanese Knotweed resurfaces, or if any faults are found with the work in the unlikely event we are no longer trading.

Why do you need an Insurance Backed Guarantee?

Insurance Backed Guarantees – or IBGs as they are known – are designed to protect consumers against insolvency and are a requirement when securing a mortgage or lending against your home or site. An IBG can cover the costs to complete the process of Japanese Knotweed eradication, or will cover the remediation of regrowth once a completion notice has been issued.

Unfortunately not all IBGs are the same – however by being a full PCA member we are able to offer market leading guarantees that provide security and peace of mind to all our clients.

At Invasive Land Remediation, we can offer two IBGs:

KNOT New

The KNOT New Policy provides 10 years of comprehensive coverage beginning from the date the contract is initiated, offering immediate protection from the very start of the remediation process. This means that all stages of the work – including initial treatment, follow-up monitoring, and the final warranty period are covered under one continuous policy. In the unlikely event that Invasive Land Remediation were to cease trading at any point during the contract, the policy ensures that another PCA accredited contractor can be appointed to complete or maintain the works, giving the property owner uninterrupted protection and complete peace of mind.

Because it activates at the start of the contract, the KNOT New Policy is particularly well suited to property transactions where a mortgage lender or conveyancer requires an Insurance-Backed Guarantee (IBG) as part of the sale process. It demonstrates that both the treatment and any associated warranties are fully insured from day one, helping to satisfy lender requirements and provide reassurance to buyers, sellers, and solicitors alike. Available exclusively for herbicidal treatment programmes, this policy is the preferred choice for clients who need recognised, lender-approved protection throughout every stage of their Japanese Knotweed management plan

KNOT Express

The KNOT Express Policy provides comprehensive protection for a full 10 years following the completion of works and the formal issuance of the completion certificate. This cover guarantees that, in the unlikely event of Japanese Knotweed (JKW) regrowth within the treated area, remedial works will be carried out under the terms of the guarantee, even if Invasive Land Remediation were to cease trading during that time. It offers reassurance that the property will remain protected long after the initial works are complete, safeguarding both the investment made in remediation and the integrity of the site itself.

Designed with long-term property owners in mind, the KNOT Express Policy is ideal for those seeking lasting confidence that their Japanese Knotweed issue has been properly resolved and remains under warranty. However, because the policy commences only after the completion of works, it is less suited to those needing an immediate Insurance-Backed Guarantee (IBG) for property sale or mortgage purposes, where proof of ongoing coverage from the start of treatment is typically required.

So whatever the scenario – you’re covered with us.

Proud members of the TrustMark initiative

TrustMark is the scheme supported by the Government, consumer groups and building industry to help members of the public find reputable firms to do repair, maintenance and improvement work inside and outside a home.

In order to support this important government initiative, the PCA become one of the founder scheme operators.

Because of the high standards of service and quality that is expected from PCA members, they were then able to extend the offer of TrustMark accreditation to all contractor members – and that means Invasive.
